*This is a great website if you're looking for tips and tricks on how to support your child's literacy skill development. The website is well organized, the articles are short but concise and they've got great lists of children's book & authors if you're looking for something new.

PLUS! Students use this in the mornings during Daily Five Literacy Centres - ask them to show you how it's done!

Lots of language games that focus on spelling, antonyms, synonyms, letter-sound correspondence and much more (One of Betty’s Favourites!)
Graphic Organizers
You can use these for Borrow a Book Written Responses!! Students tell you the ideas and YOU as a parent can scribe the organizer so that students don’t get caught up in correct spelling – they focus on getting ideas out and organized). The next step (if they’re up for it) is for students to take the organizer and they write their response – the ideas should flow easily once they have a pre-made plan!
